Content Creation
Produced Photography
I relish the opportunity to work with photographers to capture magic, ideally over many shoots to find and push our boundaries. I’ve worked with wonderful folks to shoot photos for retail, interiors, lifestyle, events, and culinary. Some shoots are highly produced and some are off-the-cuff. All invite you to come along for the fun. Art direction, budgeting, hiring and often - hands- by me.
Original Video
I utilized Super 8 to reflect the nostalgia of a historic hotel (Stagecoach Inn) while VHS serves us twice, showing the diy all-hands-on-deck fun of a party in the parking lot (South by San José) and lending its atmospheric veil to modern dance in Austin.
Original Photography
I most frequently shoot with 35mm and a Canon AE-1, taking it slow in quiet spaces, faraway places, and at a rodeo whenever possible.
Social Media
Account management
Here are some highlights from years of hitting “post.” Capturing an inclusive Prom For All, making sure the grid shows all the angles, bringing in archival images, and looking for music that delights and draws you in. Why wait for Toussaint to trend?
As ever, specificity is best. Share what makes your experience one of one, engage with your fans to understand what they like best, and give people a little education mid-scrolll. They like it! Photo production, music selection, and copy by me.
Social media stats
Here is a snapshot of the numbers showing an average engagement rate well above the industry standard of 1.4%. We got there through community engagement, returning to the brand narrative, and keeping folks up on what’s up. Showing a refreshing pool doesn’t hurt, either.
Events
Live music, backyard BBQs, indie maker markets, movies at the pool, floral workshops, fitness in the neighborhood, chili competitions, and more! more! more! There are many ways to bring the brand to life through onsite events and activations. I love a good spitballing session and then the real magic: finding partners and bringing it all to life.
Partnerships
Carpenter Hotel x Save Our Springs Alliance (SOS)
Proximity to Zilker Park and Barton Springs is a defining characteristic for Carpenter Hotel. We aimed to be a part of its stewardship and looked for ways to steer dollars towards SOS in support of their good work.
An event with local breweries sampling beer and discussing the confluence of their work and the water of Central Texas. Handprinted poster by local musician and artist Little Mazarn.
Promotional room offer simultaneously benefits SOS and reinforces the message that it is easy to enjoy the springs if you stay at Carpenter. We’ll even greet you with “things for the springs” that reflect our ethos of thoughtful leisure. A portion of the proceeds of rooms booked with this rate code was donated to SOS.
Guided employee trips to Barton Springs with members of SOS turned casual fans into enthusiastic ambassadors. Ask me about snorkeling the springs, I will wax poetic.
FELIZ Bar x Sage Studio
FELIZ was a market devoted to showcasing independent designers in Austin and around the country. Ever Champions of the handmade, a thoughtful drink service livened up the space and broadened our community impact.
Partnered beverage companies like Desert Door, Big Swig, Campari, El Espolón, Aperol, J Wray, Big Bend Brewing, Chameleon Cold Brew all came out in support.
Created original recipes to share in the digital space and serve at the event.
Raised awareness and dollars for local non profit Sage Studio, a local organization who “provides artists with intellectual and developmental disabilities the materials, space, and support to produce, exhibit, and sell their artwork.” FELIZ is a market devoted to uplifting local artists, so working with Sage Studio was a tremendous gift.
Holistic sales Outreach
I activated our neighboring wedding vendors to introduce South Lamar and Barton Springs as a wedding district with venues, salons, dress shops, spas, and of course - our hotel to host the guests
Pictured: paper collateral handed out to partners with a map of the neighborhood including an incentive for prospects to come to Carpenters Hall and continue planning over a glass of bubbly.
The iconic experience of Winter Wanderland at Austin Motel was in its third year when I recognized an opportunity to iterate and support the motel’s slow season by leveraging the public event to sell private events.
I developed incentives with Sales, offering discounted guest rooms, complimentary marquee message, and passes to a Festive Float at the pool. We sent the message in August via social posts, a newsletter campaign sent out to top prospects, and with a paid digital marketing campaign.
“Can you hold this?”
Says the social team. A bonus of working in marketing is having well-documented hands. Here is the official archive of my own.
graphic design
Having a BFA in graphic design grants me a fluid workflow with designers and comfortability with creative platforms. Below is a sample of original work, much of it from my time volunteering with our local non-profit radio station KOOP 91.7.

What’s it like to work with me? Will I bring deviled eggs? Yes, I will.
Alison marlborough, former manager, says:
Erin Corrigan is an absolute joy to work with. I managed her at Bunkhouse Group and can confidently say that she has an extreme attention to detail, is very organized and comes to the table with ideas that she is able to execute on. She is also a unicorn in that she is able to bring her creative spirit to all tasks, whether it's a photoshoot, social media event concepting or brainstorming general marketing ideas.
Lily Angelle, former coworker, says:
Erin was a true steward for the Bunkhouse brand, but just as equally she was an advocate for our partners in the community. She so carefully fostered longstanding vendor relationships, from artists to artisans to photographers, and took utmost care to honor the brand in projects while also respecting the visions of so many creative partners. She led photoshoots for Austin Motel, Carpenter Hotel, and Hotel San Jose (three very different brands) from start to finish: hiring the photographer, writing the shot list, managing a production budget, art directing and overseeing the shoot, and managing the internal deliverable approval process.
Cole Di Carlo, client, says:
Erin genuinely understands the delicate balance of maintaining brand integrity and meeting the audience where they are in order to maximize revenue. With that as a background, she puts that full thought behind each-and-every photograph she takes for her clients. Reviewing Erin's deliverables is like watching a stop-action story unfold - she is such a different type of photographer, and a type that has really fit a number of the projects that we manage. It is a delight to work with, and even just chat with, Erin.
